https://fiiish.com

Fiiish is a young French company, born from the passion of a fanatical angler / graphic designer, Mathieu Guennal. For many years he has designed and made his own fishing lures at home. " I just couldn’t find the lures I needed in the tackle shops". My own designs were working well, and I was asked more and more about the lures I was making and whether they were for sale – this feedback really encouraged me to take the next step. Fiiish advocates responsible fishing practises and believes strongly in the protection and careful management of our recreational fisheries via various methods, including increased minimum sizes and more anglers practising catch and release whenever possible. Our whole ethos is based around the design, rigorous testing, manufacture and supply of highly original sport fishing gear that is easy to use and highly effective. We are obsessed with getting  it right and we are driven by innovation. We are Fiiish and we are incredibly proud of what we do.

IT ALL STARTED WITH A DREAM.
Kuba Stan – My Dream of being able to stock my lures the same ways as I used to when tying flies – just by making them. exactly what I want and how I wanted them. No more waiting for the product availability in the shop, no more choosing from few colours that I could get. Custom colours available, with only my imagination being the limiting factor. I’m very lucky to have had angling as my major occupation for the last dozen years.
Started with a fly fishing magazine, flytying, freelance writing and photography for few magazines, running a successful guiding operation on the Straits of Gibraltar – all were instrumental in building my knowledge and slowly led me towards the PIRATE LURES dream.
Previous industry experience in plastic monomers, pharmaceutical testing and manufacturing were a great help too, as well as chemistry and biology background. Experience in the publishing industry, with colour mixing, photography and editing – it all helped the creation of amazing lure colours, understanding the required lure characteristics and the angler’s needs. 2022 – Post Brexit left it very difficult to get lures to anglers within the UK especially, so the decision was made to move Pirate Lures to England. Drake House Lures, have merged with Pirate Lures , and have taken over the production. Pirate Lures U.K was created, and the lures are now manufactured in Devon.
All our lures are 100% hand made. No large scale injectors, no made in China packed in EU stuff. Each lure is made in Devon,  using 100% EU materials.

All our jig patterns are based on real fish. Our designs take their inspiration from nature because it is proven that predators will always prefer their natural target species to artificial bait. We firmly believe that our jigs lead to a higher catch rate and that the best angling strategy is to IMITATE THE BAIT.
The Vertical Jig and Speed Jig designs are hybrid designs developed over years of fishing. Our Casting and Slow Jigs are original BELL ROCK LURES custom designs created inhouse by our team of designers.
Our Casting, Slow and Vertical Jigs are manufactured to our exact specifications by our supplier, producing factory production quality jigs.
The Heavy Vertical and Speed Jigs are handmade in our workshop, which results in a more vivid but less uniform finish.
Every BELL ROCK LURES jig now comes with BKK Reef Master hooking.

Our imitation jigs have been used for several years on the coast off the UK with great success. The smaller jigs are tailor made for coastal fishing for Bass, Pollock, Coley and Cod to name but a few. The Heavy Speed and Vertical Jigs are great for the deeper marks or marks with a strong current and have trophy sized Cod, Coley and Halibut in the UK and Norway under their belt. Please view the Catches page for photos.

We are continuously developing new products and designs to update our range.

OUR GOAL

To provide top quality lures that catch top quality fish.
IMITATE THE BAIT

https://redgill.co.uk/

The original Red Gill fishing lures were designed by world war II veteran Alex Ingram in the1950's. He took inspiration from the fighter jets wings he flew during the war. Once retired, he settled in the Cornish Fishing village of Mevagissey in South West England, since then we moved operations to Devon in 2002 and now operate out of Dorset, always supported along the way by fellow anglers and commercial fishermen who have helped us develop our lures to be what they are today.

Redgill fishing tackle is a family run business that prides ourselves on offering only the highest-quality products. Our mission is to offer the best service we can provide because we know this is what matters to you.

https://www.tronixfishing.com/tf/hto/

HTO’s main purpose is to help make modern lure fishing accessible and affordable while also producing top-end products that were previously only available from abroad.

The Lure Game and Rockfish rods helped bring modern lure fishing to a new audience. Lure Game brought an affordable, fast-actioned, modern lure fishing rod for bass fishing to the market, while the Rockfish range of rods was the first, dedicated, affordable LRF rod designed specifically for the UK. With over 20,000 sold, the Rockfish range of LRF rods is one of the most successful rod launches in modern times.

JOKER Jigs and Lures is owned and run by Matt Forrester.

Matt’s a dedicated Slow Pitch Jigging expert and professional skipper at Silver Halo Charters, running fishing trips out of Torquay in South Devon, specializing in SPJ, lure and ABFT fishing.

He previously worked with Sidewinder on their Norse Slow Pitch Jig range and then went on to create his own tackle brand, JOKER.

Matt says…. ‘All JOKER gear is fully tested and proven. We fish at sea for over 1,000 hours a year and I only want the very best of tackle. It’s refined and customized and I only sell what I’m happy to provide to my clients and use myself, it’s critical to me that it all works well and with options available for varying waters and conditions’.

The JOKER range of jigs and lures is highly practical and effective, both here in the U.K and over-seas and is fast becoming a firm favourite amongst recreational and commercial anglers alike.

https://www.kiddywholesale.co.uk/

Established in 1955, Kiddy wholesale was originally a manufacturer of fishing floats and lead weights supplying customers in the South West of England. As the company developed over the years the emphasis was switched steadily to wholesale and import of sea fishing tackle from suppliers accross the world and in the early 1990's the manufacturing side was sold to allow for further expansion in this area.

We are still a wholly family owned business and are now one of the largest independent suppliers of sea fishing tackle covering all of the U.K. Our 50+ years of experience in Sea fishing has enabled us to develop and create our own in house brands such as Sidewinder and Storm which are now recognised as market leaders within the industry.

In addition we stock and distribute many other well known Sea fishing tackle brands such as Kamasan, Sakuma, Breakaway and Coleman to name but a few.

Roy and Ryan Seiders founded YETI in 2006 based on a deep love for the outdoors and the belief that if something doesn’t work, fix it. And if it doesn’t exist, build it. Since then, we've been designing products that last for generations, get you out into the Wild, and keep you there longer. Here's our story. The coolers Roy and Ryan grew up with couldn’t meet the demands of serious anglers or last in the relentless Texas heat. So they made their own – designing the legendary Tundra® with enough insulation to keep ice for days and durability to last a lifetime. We’ve expanded into other products and categories since those first coolers, but our bull-simple approach to design hasn’t changed. Focus on quality. Design for durability. Never cut corners on form or function. It’s the same philosophy we’ve used to make drinkware, soft coolers, chairs, bags, cargo and more. Built for the Wild™ means it’s built to last. From hog hunts to happy hours and the backcountry to back stage, our products have been embraced by communities and outdoor pros across the world all connected through a single common thread – that the gear you rely on should never let you down. YETI was founded on a simple desire to spend more time in the wild. And with more time spent outside, the more we understand our responsibility to protect the places we love. Learn more about how we’re actively working towards our key commitments to our people, products, and places.

https://www.sidewinderlures.co.uk/

In common with many tackle firms these days the manufacture of our Sidewinder lures is through our partner factory in the far east. However all research, product design and development testing is still carried out here in South Devon using expert local commercial line anglers. Their years of combined knowledge has led us to create a range of lures that we think are unbeatable in todays marketplace.

All Sidewinder lures are subject to extensive testing on board our two sponsored boats, Dart angler fishing out of Dartmouth and Fishy bizness out of Torquay. It is along the south Devon coastline, with its wealth of inshore species and clear water that we have concentrated our efforts to come up with a range of lures that not only look the part but actually work as well as real baitfish.

https://dockyardclub.org.uk/

Since being built in 1911, The Dockyard Club building has been a children’s school, a part of the Experimental Department of HM Signal School where Radio Direction Finding (later known by the American term ‘Radar’) was developed, then as the business premises of  Mr John Flavell Coales CBE.

The idea for the creation of the Dockyard Central Sports Association started in mid-1947.  The first meeting to decide the way ahead was in late 1947 and following the acquisition of the Onslow Road premises, the first full management committee meeting took place in late 1948.

Following on, the first full-time steward was appointed in January 1949; and the club subsequently became the Naval Base Establishment’ Central Sports Association.

In July 2015 it was formally renamed The Dockyard Club.

A Fisherman's Eye for Detail – Artwork Raffle Donation

We're thrilled to share that one of our own — a passionate local fisherman with a true gift for art — is generously donating some of his incredible artwork to this year's South Coast Bass Lure Open 2025 raffle.

Though art is just a hobby for him, his talent is anything but ordinary. With an eye trained by years on the water and a meticulous attention to detail, his pieces capture the spirit of the sea and the thrill of the chase like few others can. Every line and brushstroke speaks to his deep connection with the coastline, the fish, the wildlife, and the lifestyle we all love.

His donation is a genuine treat — and a chance for a lucky few to take home a unique piece of the south coast, crafted by someone who lives and breathes it.

Don’t miss your chance to win one of these stunning works!

Why we donate to "Andy's Man Club"

https://andysmanclub.co.uk/

Who Is Andy?

ANDYSMANCLUB takes its name from Andrew Roberts, a man who sadly took his own life aged 23 in early 2016. Andy’s family had no inkling that he was suffering or struggling to the extent that he would do this, and as a result looked deeper into male suicide and men’s mental health. They soon discovered that male suicide is the biggest killer of men under 54, with male mental health surrounded by well-ingrained cultural stigma in the UK.

Elaine Roberts and Luke Ambler are Andy’s Mum and Brother-in-Law, together they came up with the idea of ANDYSMANCLUB, a group where men aged 18 and above can speak openly about their mental health in a judgment-free, non-clinical environment.

Groups now operate nationwide and are completely volunteer-led, with all group facilitators having first interacted with ANDYSMANCLUB when they came through the door as a service user.

In mid-2016, nine men met in a small room in the stereotypical Yorkshire town of Halifax with a simple aim of talking through their issues and helping each other deal with their mental health.

All in attendance agreed there was a magic in that room that had to be shared. This was the start of a movement that has grown faster than anyone first involved could have ever imagined.

Fast forward to now and ANDYSMANCLUB now has hundreds of groups spread across the UK and online.
